Bayer Thai receives 2019 AMCHAM ACE Recognition Award
Bayer Thai Co., Ltd. led by (middle) Mr.Jim Kennelly, Managing Director and CFO, recently received the 2019 AMCHAM Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence (ACE) Recognition Award, presented by (5th from left) Mr. Gregory Bastien, president of Amcham and (4th from right) Mr. Michael Heath, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy at the 2019 American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) CSR Excellence Recognition Award Ceremony, held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok. The award presentation is aimed to recognize companies who demonstrate their commitment to conducting business responsibly and giving back to society.
Bayer Thai gives importance to science as we consider science is crucial to the development of innovations and products that will improve the quality of life. Bayer is determined to assist the improvement of science in Thailand with our scientific knowledge and expertise, particularly through our sustainability-oriented activities.
One of the highlight CSR activities include The “Better Science for Better Life” project. Bayer in collaboration with National Science Museum aims to ably help improve science learning among Thai youth, to raise awareness and inspire children to obtain scientific knowledge. The project can also enhance students’ experience through creative scientific experiments. With this project, 100 science education toolkits will be presented to schools every year during a 3 year MOU (2017-2019) as part of a science caravan to provinces, as another way to extends science learning opportunities to students nationwide. Importantly, this project clearly reflects our organization’s value “Science for a Better Life”.
